My philosophy of teaching can be best described as interactive. I believe that learning is a participatory activity, and as such, students are actively encouraged to ask questions and become involved in their learning experience. My assignments tend to be practical and useful to the student. Students can chose the type of assignment related to the course that they want to complete, and these assignments will hopefully be useful to them in their work, and/or other courses. Although the objectives of my courses are clearly indicated on my course outlines, the way in which we arrive at those objectives can vary depending on the needs of the student. As such, every course is different, wherein students hopefully will contribute as much as they will receive.
