I love what I do. Counting my own kindergarten year, I've been in school for more than half a century. I'm still learning. I've always seen teaching as an opportunity for discovery on the part of student and instructor. I've been teaching courses in poetry writing and the Bible in English for more than thirty years, and I learn more about the subject matter of a specific course and about myself each and every quarter. I owe this life-long learning opportunity to the enthusiasm, creativity, and intelligence that students bring into the room, year after year.
