It is not uncommon for instructors to teach beyond their comfort zone – that is, teach material that they are not familiar with. Teaching What You Don’t Know by Therese Hustonexamines why so many are teaching what they don’t know, and how they manage to do it well and still stay happy in their chosen professions. The author offers strategies for effective teaching that include efficient course preparation, establishing and enhancing credibility, fielding questions for which you lack the answers, and reaching unresponsive students. Please join us for weekly discussions as we learn from the stories shared in this highly engaging book. Registration is limited to 12 people. UCAT will supply the books for the first 12 who register and can commit to attending all meetings.

This event is now wait list only. If you register, you will be added to the wait list and notified if an opening becomes available.
