Writing Across the Curriculum
Teaching students how to ethically research and to clearly document that ethical research can seem difficult, especially in the age of cut-and-pasting online work. However, since ethical research in our disciplines is at the center of what we want to teach students, and writing is the primary mode for articulating ethical research, there are ways to foreground the connection between critical thinking and writing that help students learn both more fully. In this session, we will explore strategies that make it difficult for students to plagiarize and, more importantly, help them better understand ethical research and writing in various disciplines.
