Does service-learning make a difference? We know that service-learning courses have a positive effect on our students, but we know a lot less about how service-learning affects our community partners and communities. This session will explore the process of assessing community impacts in conjunction with measuring student learning. Please join us in a conversation on this topic led by UCAT and the Service-Learning Initiative. Participants will gain familiarity with service-learning assessment language and begin the process of developing a comprehensive assessment plan for their own service-learning courses. This session is primarily directed toward faculty and staff who are teaching or associated with a service-learning course, but we welcome anyone who is interested in this topic to attend.
