PARTICIPATE | 2009 Orientation on Teaching@Ohio State: Welcome

Welcome to the Orientation on Teaching@Ohio State. During the course of 2½ days, you will have opportunities to meet with your new colleagues and discuss with them in facilitated sessions issues related to your teaching role.
Day I. You will first receive an Introduction to Teaching at Ohio State and then discuss topics related to Entering the Classroom.
Day II. You will explore your teaching role through Teaching in the…, and learn some techniques that may assist you in Becoming a Better Teacher. Next, a fun, interactive theatre presentation will help introduce you to University Policies and Procedures Every Teacher Should Know. Afterward, you can find additional resources related both to your teaching and to your experience at Ohio State, provided at the University Teaching Resource Fair.
Day III. You will have your choice of sessions among those that are College Teaching Topics. Choose among topics that build upon what you have already learned, or decide to learn about something new.
