The ADA Coordinator's Office was created to guide Ohio State's efforts to move beyond compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act, toward seamless access. As Ohio State's focal point for disability–related initiatives, the ADA Coordinator's Office collaborates with university offices, governmental agencies, and advocacy groups to inform decision–making and ensure Ohio State's compliance with state and federal mandates.

The Resource Center seeks to be the premiere resource on issues pertaining to the African American Male by examining and addressing critical issues in society that impact the quality of life for African American males throughout the lifespan. One of the Resource's concentrated efforts focuses specifically on strategies to increase the retention and graduation rates of African American men.

Ohio State Bias Assessment and Response Team (BART)
An initiative of Ohio State's Student Life area, the Bias Assessment and Response Team (BART) exists to help individuals who have had the unfortunate experience of either witnessing or being the victim of a hate or bias–related incident. The BART website also provides resources for anyone wanting to examine issues related to bias and racism.

The Commitment to Success Program provides climate assessments regarding how diversity impacts and enhances both educational and work settings at Ohio State. The findings produced through CSP assessments can help university programs gain a richer understanding of diversity in their settings, as well as possible steps to further improve the learning climate for all involved.

The Office of Diversity, Urban, and International/Global Affairs (DUI/G) provides leadership, oversight, and an infrastructure for the new College of Education and Human Ecology, with respect to the College's diversity, urban, and international/global initiatives. The key objective is to help the College's various units in diversifying their student body, faculty, staff, and programs, to foster a climate that recognizes and celebrates cultural, ethnic, socio–economic, linguistic, socio–linguistic, sexual orientation, and other forms of diversity in the College's community. Encompassed within the DUI/G Office are the College's Offices of Equity and Diversity, Urban Affairs, and International/Global Affairs.

The Frank W. Hale, Jr. Black Cultural Center

The Hale Center is named in honor of Dr. Frank W. Hale, Jr., who fought to increase opportunities for minority students at The Ohio State University. Considered one of the finest Black Cultural Centers in the United States, the Hale Center is located on the south part of Ohio State's Columbus campus. A hub of campus activity, the Hale Center hosts a number of campus events in addition to providing meeting space for student organizations. Within the facility's almost 20,000 square feet of space are housed two state–of–the–art computer labs, several classrooms, rooms for reading and research, a tutorial laboratory, and two art galleries named for outstanding artists, which feature some of the Hale Center's exceptional art collection. Depending upon facility availability, reservations for occasional alternative class meeting spaces may be accommodated at the Hale Center.

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) is responsible for cultivating and nurturing the growth of global perspectives at The Ohio State University. The Kirwan Institute is named for Dr. William E. "Brit" Kirwan, a former President of The Ohio State University, in recognition of Dr. Kirwan's significant and successful efforts to champion diversity at Ohio State. Established in 2003, the Institute's central mission is to contribute meaningfully to the field of research and scholarship on race, ethnicity, and social justice, to assist in framing the way that we talk about, think about and act on race and ethnicity, and to deepen the understanding of the causes and consequences of and solutions to racial and ethnic hierarchy and disparity so that we can envision and realize a society that is fair and just for all people, where opportunity is not limited by race, ethnicity, gender, or class, where democratic ideals inform social policy, and where all people recognize and embrace the universal responsibility that each person has for the welfare of every other person.

The Office of Minority Affairs (OMA) was created in 1970 to provide leadership for The Ohio State University in supporting the success of minority students, faculty, and staff. OMA directly serves and celebrates the contributions of African Americans, Appalachians, Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, Native Americans, and Hispanic Americans. The office emphasizes the recruitment, retention, and timely graduation of undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. OMA promotes a welcoming climate and serves in an advocacy role for minority individuals both at Ohio State and in the larger community. The Multicultural Center at Ohio State provides opportunities for students' engagement and leadership, focusing on building community, valuing social justice, contributing to the academic experience, and facilitating individual transformation. Race/Ethnicity: Multidisciplinary Global Contexts Journal
The Race/Ethnicity: Multidisciplinary Global Contexts journal is a peer-reviewed journal jointly produced through the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity and the Office of Minority Affairs at The Ohio State University. Using a "classic" text as a point of departure in each issue, the journal offers investigations of sustained and emergent themes in the global field of race and ethnic studies. By promoting research that works across the traditional boundaries of discipline, geography, and the theory/practice divide, Race/Ethnicity makes a vital contribution to the expanding discourse on race and ethnicity in the United States and throughout the world.

The Office of Student Life (which recently changed its name from the Office of Student Affairs) is responsible for many of the outside–the–classroom aspects of student life at Ohio State. Among the areas falling within Student Life are student health, wellness, and counseling; activities, organizations, and leadership development; student housing; food service, including campus dining as well as catering services; and BuckID. Student Life also includes recreational sports, including intramurals and sport clubs, outdoor adventure programs, aquatics, personal training, and fitness classes in addition to opportunities for informal, open recreation. Many of these programs are offered in new, state-of-the-art facilities, such as RPAC (the Recreation and Physical Activity Center) and the Adventure Recreation Center. Other Ohio State facilities operated by Student Life include the Schottenstein Center, the Fawcett Center, the Blackwell Inn, the Ohio Union (currently under construction), and the Drake Event Center.

University Senate Diversity Committee
The Diversity Committee is a body of the University Senate. The Diversity Commimttee's charges include studying issues that relate to the implementation of Ohio State's nondiscriminatory policy. Further, the Committee recommends policies that foster an environment of civility, tolerance, and mutual respect, and performs functions with appropriate administrative support from Ohio State's Offices of Academic Affairs and Human Resources. The University Diversity Council is one of the subcommittees of the University Senate Diversity Committee.

A subcommittee of the University Senate Diversity Committee, the University Senate Diversity Council convenes annually to review and analyze diversity plans submitted by academic units at Ohio State.
